a continuation of here for @dcgtown
this isn’t vesper. she’s been good all her life, picked a career that would mean she could help people. something snapped in her the day she discovered what her husband had been doing with their finances. she’d always suspected something and had prepared herself for some sort of affair — it seemed like the logical thing. however, he was going to ruin her life if she didn’t do something about it. and then came hugo. she finds herself beaming at him despite what he’s done, the nervous energy not gone but overshadowed by her relief. “you did it,” she breathes in the hope that the more she hears it the more real it will become. “you really…” her eyes sweep over his face and she can’t contain herself, pushing forward to press her lips to his in a kiss that hopefully conveys the things that she can’t. “i can never thank you enough.”
